Captain America Leads The Way For Marvel

The impending release of Captain America: The First Avenger is creating plenty of hype for the already-anointed smash hit The Avengers. Chris Evans plays Steve Rogers, a haggard teenager who volunteers to take an new Super Soldier serum that ultimately turns him into the titular character.

Captain America's first comic book appearance occurred in the same period of time as World War Two, which helped drive sales for the patriotic hero. Also known as America's Super Soldier, Captain America battled the Red Skull, a megalomaniac who wanted to govern the world. These battles are often used as part of the designs on Captain America shirts.

Though he isn't a super human, Captain America has the strength, speed, and stamina of a peak-human. He is equipped with a vibranium shield painted in the USA flag's colors and it is regarded as representative of the character, so much so that it features on many tees depicting Captain America. He's best-known for his awesome leadership and personality. The words "Avengers Assemble!" are usually let out by him during Avengers missions.

The Avengers are a superhero team composed from Marvel's mightiest heroes. The main characters are Captain American, Thor, and Iron Man. The upcoming film will also feature Hawkeye, the Black Widow, and The Hulk.

A shared film universe is a major goal of Marvel Studios. Attempts to attain this goal started with the theatre office hit Iron Man, followed by The Incredible Hulk, and Thor. In Captain America: The 1st Avenger, Marvel intends to introduce viewers to the Avengers ' charming leader while serving as a launch point for The Avengers, due for release in 2012. With this expect to see a big increase in merchandising efforts including tees with Captain America on them.

Robert Downey, Chris Hemsworth, and Scarlett Johansson will reprise their roles as Iron Man, Thor, and the Black Widow. The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo, and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) are also included. Buffy The Vampire Slayer creator and part-time comic book writer Joss Whedon directs.
