Today I had a breakthrough with my own family. I realized that we
are all very stubborn human beings who LOVE to be RIGHT. The
fact that my relatives and I are not the poster family for togetherness
is the reason I came up with the PD-O blog. I have recently come to
realize that this phenomenon affected more families than I had ever
imagined. It was not just my family that was dysfunctional, but a large
percentage of our society.

It isn't easy going through life thinking you're nothing more than a sperm donation. But to my father, rap music multimillionaire and First Amendment crusader Luther Campbell of 2 Live Crew fame, that's exactly what I am. My name is Shanetris Campbell. I was born September 7th, 1982. At least that's what I was taught in Christian school. Yet, all of the
grown-ups in my life could not rise above their baser instincts to see
the bigger picture. So I sought a way to heal the sores that ate at the heart of my family,
making our collective pulse fainter and fainter every day.
And now, here we are. Yes, we have disagreements. This comes with
all relationships, especially among people who are passionate about
what they believe in. Does this sound like your family? Are you the person who always has
