Admit it. Reading books have become just another tedious task for a student and never the hobby that is used to be. If you've missed out the feeling of getting sucked in by the stories and lessons books give, then perhaps it's time to give yourself a right dose of reading. How can you do that? Here are some tips how:
1. Unplugging from the tube.
Unplug your television or your computer when there's time for yourself. Get that book you've been dying to read but never get the chance or find the time to. If you have some time to watch the television, then there's definitely a time you can allot for reading.
2. Bring a book inside your bag.
This is a very useful way to spend your idle time reading like when riding the train, waiting for a doctor's appointment or during your office break.
3. Read out loud for someone else.
Reading for your child, partner or the elderly is also a form of reading too. You may not realize it but when you read for them, you are reading to yourself as well. This means that you learn and get immersed in the story as well.
4. Take a day off from house work.
When you always have to run out for errands, transfer some task to another day and take one day off if you can. Grab this opportunity to pamper yourself and get some rest with a cup of tea, hot choco with marshmallows on top or a latte from your favorite coffee shop and a good book to read.
5. Adjust your sleep routine.
It's not such a struggle to wake up 15 minutes earlier or sleep 15 minutes after to get some time to read. You do it with the television, might as well reserve some time for reading as well, right?
6. Read during potty time
This is not an uncommon thing to do. Most people do this to make that time useful to get some reading time.
Use these tips to slip in a little more time to read.
