Sarah Jessica Parker was born on 25th March 1965 to parents Barbara and Stephen Parker. Later she moved in with her mother after her parents' divorce. She took lessons in ballet and singing as a child. She started her career as a child theatre artist. While pursing her studies she continued with her acting career as well. She attended Dwight Morrow High School. She also went on to study at the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, the School of American Ballet in New York and also the Professional Children's School, Hollywood High School in Los Angeles, California.
Her first work was in "The innocents" with Broadway. Thereafter she was selected in the Broadway musical "Annie" in which she landed up with the lead role later on, a role that she held for a year. Later she was chosen for the sitcom "Square Pegs" in which her performance was appreciated by the critics. She also appeared in the Disney's now cult film "Flight of the Navigator".
By the beginning of the early 90s her career graph was moving up steadily. Her performance was well received by the audiences in the romantic comedy "L.A. Story". She went on to do substantial roles in moves like "Honeymoon in Vegas", "Hocus Pocus", "Ed Wood", etc. She also worked in television series and worked with her favorite, Woody Allen in the "The Sunshine Boys" in 1995. As she continued to make a name for herself on the big and small screens she was equally enthusiastic of leaving her mark in theaters. She staged in number of plays like the "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" and "Once Upon a Mattress."
