King Henry, the Eighth of England is renowned around the world for having six wives, two of which he himself had beheaded. Amazingly, King Henry married two Anne's and three Catherine's.

His marriage to Anne was primarily to advance his political interests because he wanted to counterbalance the growing Catholicism in Europe with the union of Protestant England and Germany. He later on annulled his marriage with her and married Catherine Howard. He also had her beheaded due to accusations of adultery and immoral conduct before and during marriage. His last wife, Catherine Parr, was able to outlive him who died in the 28th of January 1547.
